A Marinha do Brasil classificou nesta segunda-feira (19) a depressão subtropical como Tempestade Tropical Akará, após se intensificar e ganhar características tropicais, desta forma, não deve virar furacão. O sistema se encontra em alto mar, entre Santa Catarina e Rio Grande do Sul, conforme mostra a figura 1, e não deve se aproximar da costa. O sistema havia sido identificado pela Marinha na última sexta-feira, 16, na costa do estado do Rio de Janeiro.
Nos próximos dias, conforme se desloca para a região Sul, Akará perderá força gradualmente devido à temperatura da água, que se encontra mais baixa em relação à costa do Sudeste, onde o sistema se originou.
“A tempestade está em alto mar na altura do Litoral de Santa Catarina e do Rio Grande do Sul e não oferece perigo aos catarinenses e nem aos gaúchos porque a tempestade está muito afastada da costa, mais de 200 km, e deve perder força gradativamente. A condição para virar um furação é muito pequena, mas estamos monitorando o fenômeno”, informou o meteorologista da Epagri/Ciram, Marcelo Martins.
A atualização das previsões seguem indicando que este ciclone se desloca em direção ao Sul, com seu centro posicionado distante, em alto mar. Além disso, o impacto mais significativo é esperado também em alto mar, onde há expectativa de ondas entre 3,0 m e 4,0 m de altura, aumentando o risco para navegação e pesca.
Nas proximidades do Litoral catarinense não há influência do ciclone e a ondulação permanece com direção sudeste e variando entre 1,5 m e 2,0 m. Nestas mesmas regiões os ventos sopram com intensidade moderada, com valores médios entre 20 km/h e 30 km/h, e rajadas de até 50 km/h, não havendo riscos para ocorrências
É importante ressaltar que o sistema está sendo monitorado, e as previsões podem sofrer alterações, portanto, é de extrema importância o acompanhamento diário das atualizações das previsões, notas, Avisos e Alertas emitidos pela Secretaria de Estado da Proteção e Defesa Civil (SDC), Centro de Informações de Recursos Ambientais e de Hidrometeorologia de Santa Catarina (EPAGRI/CIRAM), e pelos órgãos oficiais de Meteorologia e Oceanografia, como o Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia e a Marinha do Brasil.
