Por volta das 16h30min a aeronave da Polícia Civil, tripulada pelos policiais do SAER e pelos profissionais da saúde do SARASUL, foi acionada pela central de regulação do Samu para efetuar transferência.
De acordo com o Saer/Sarasul se tratava de um homem de 45 anos, que foi removido do Hospital Regional de Araranguá com quadro de Infarto Agudo do miocárdio, para o Hospital São José em Criciúma, que é referência no serviço de Cardiologia.
