Ao chegar no local foi constatado que o incêndio já estava em fase de diminuição e que a residência não possuía energia elétrica. Para a extinção do rescaldo do incêndio foram necessários aproximadamente mil litros de água. Segundo informações de um popular que passou pelo local, havia apenas paredes de madeiras caídas umas sobre as outras, sem telhado, nem estrutura propriamente dita. Após a ação dos bombeiros, por não haver ninguém na cena, nem proprietário, nem vizinhos, a área foi isolada.
