Na última terça-feira, 02, o Corpo de Bombeiros Militar de Santa Catarina (CBMSC) divulgou o segundo Boletim da Operação Veraneio 2023/2024 compreendendo dados de 16 a 31 de dezembro de 2023 de todo o estado.
Só neste curto espaço de tempo, a corporação registou um aumento de 25% nos casos de crianças perdidas nas praias, ou seja, que por algum motivo ficou desacompanhada de um adulto responsável por alguns minutos ou até horas. Foram registradas 658 ocorrências em Santa Catarina, enquanto na temporada anterior, foram registrados 529 casos neste mesmo período.
“Nenhuma criança deve ficar sozinha em qualquer que seja o ambiente. Quando trazemos essa realidade para o ambiente aquático, essa atenção precisa ser redobrada e constante”, afirma o coronel Aldrin Silva de Souza, comandante da 1º Região Bombeiro Militar, área responsável pelo litoral catarinense, que concentra a maior parte da Operação Veraneio. “Além da possibilidade dessa criança ser levada por uma pessoa mal intencionada, há o alto risco de afogamento uma vez que sem supervisão adequada ela pode vir a entrar no mar que, independentemente da condição das ondas, não é um local para uma criança estar sozinha”, reforça.
Uma dica simples e que é de grande importância é a criança estar portando alguma identificação que leve a pessoa que a encontrou ao contato direto com o familiar. O CBMSC ressalta que em todos os postos de guarda-vidas há pulseirinhas de identificação, que podem ser usadas na água, em que o responsável preenche os seguintes dados: nome da criança, nome do responsável e telefone de contato.
Caso se depare com uma criança perdida, procure acalmá-la e verifique se ela está com alguma identificação e se no entorno há alguém a procurando. Uma prática bastante comum é fazer o uso de palmas. Banhistas batem palmas para chamar a atenção das pessoas que estão no local e um adulto coloca essa criança sobre os ombros para que, estando no alto, seja percebida com maior facilidade enquanto seguem as palmas até que o responsável seja identificado e/ou a criança seja deixada em segurança em posto guarda-vidas.
