Prêmio foi entregue na cidade de Joinville, neste final de semana
Nova Veneza é uma cidade que destaca atletas de diversos esportes. E no atletismo o município vem a cada ano ganhando espaço em competições nacionais e internacionais. E duas destas revelações do esporte, foram homenageados no evento Top do Ranking de Atletismo, que reconhece os melhores atletas, técnicos, entidades e árbitros de toda Santa Catarina, por conta de seu desempenho no ano passado.
Larissa da Silva Lúcio foi destaque pelas conquistas nos 1500 metros e na categoria sub-23. E Pedro Henrique Faustino no lançamento de dardo sub-16, também recebeu o troféu de atleta revelação na categoria.
O coordenador das categorias de base do Departamento Municipal de Esportes (DME), Geraldo da Luz, destaca que os prêmios são resultado do trabalho que vem sendo feito. “Nosso trabalho começa na base, introduzindo os alunos da rede pública no atletismo. E o Petro e a Larissa são duas revelações da nossa escolinha e atletas que já são reconhecidos no estado e no Brasil”, comenta.
Para o diretor do DME, Roberto Bortolotto, o prêmio mostra o alto nível do esporte em Nova Veneza. “São dois grandes atletas da nossa equipe, que se dedicam e merecem muito esse prêmio. Eu tenho orgulho muito grande de contribuir e orientá-los neste processo de evolução deles e participar de cada conquista. O nosso município é pequeno, mas temos muitos atletas revelados e que vão levar o nome da cidade para os lugares mais altos do pódio”, afirma.
