O Governador Jorginho Mello e o secretário de Meio Ambiente e Economia Verde, Ricardo Guidi, lançaram nesta segunda-feira, 27, em Criciúma, o Plano Estadual de Transição Energética Justa. A iniciativa visa diminuir impactos sociais, ambientais e econômicos diante da transição para energias mais limpas.
“É um programa para que a gente possa fazer uma transição do carvão, que é uma energia fóssil para uma energia renovável, acima de tudo preservando o emprego das pessoas. Precisamos aplicar a nossa inteligência técnica, para que a gente consiga através de projetos criar novos produtos, fazer essa transição de forma gradual, tecnológica, ambiental. Então a gente tem que criar formas, mecanismos, é por isso que a gente fez esse plano e o Ricardo Guidi que é o coordenador desse programa, da implantação dele, tem o DNA dele, tem a digital dele lá no Congresso da lei para que a gente consiga dar aos empresários e à economia e principalmente aos empregados do Sul de Santa Catarina vida longa”, disse o governador Jorginho Mello.
O sul catarinense foi o local escolhido para o lançamento por ser a região de maior impacto, devido à readequação das Termoelétricas, isso porque 15% da economia local vem do setor. A atividade garante mais de 20 mil empregos e beneficia cerca de 100 mil pessoas de forma direta e indireta. Além disso, fatura mais de 6 bilhões de reais por ano e movimenta diferentes setores da região.
“O plano é um marco para a cidade de Criciúma e para toda a região Carbonífera, o objetivo principal do plano é descarbonizar, sair do modelo de alta emissão de carbono para o modelo de baixa emissão de carbono, mas minimizando os impactos sociais ambientais e econômicos na região. A gente espera com esse plano criar um novo modelo de negócio, trazer novas oportunidades para que a gente possa gerar mais empregos e incrementar a economia”, pontuou o secretário de Estado do Meio Ambiente e Economia Verde, Ricardo Guidi.
Na cerimônia foi assinada a ordem para contratação de empresa especializada que vai elaborar estudos técnicos para desenvolvimento do plano de transição energética justa. Com isso, deve apresentar ações de curto, médio e longo prazo, viabilizando uma política permanente para redução da emissão de gases de efeito estuda, alinhada ao desenvolvimento da região.
Também foi assinado um acordo de cooperação técnica celebrado com a Associação Beneficente da Indústria Carbonífera de Santa Catarina (SATC) para apoio técnico e administrativo ao comitê técnico no desenvolvimento e implementação do programa de transição energética justa no pólo Sul do estado. O governador Jorginho Mello aproveitou a agenda de trabalho em Criciúma para visitar as instalações da SATC antes do evento.
“Transição justa é mudar o modelo de produção sem destruir valor econômico social, ou seja foco nas pessoas. A transição energética justa é mudar o modelo de consumo de energia de altas emissões de carbono para baixas emissões de carbono e tudo isso passa por uma transformação tecnológica ecológica que inclua novos processos que emitam menos gases de efeito estufa. Descarbonizar não é acabar com fóssil é acabar com as emissões dos fósseis”, explicou o diretor executivo da SATC, Fernando Luiz Zancan.
“A transição energética justa é um processo essencial, inevitável sendo crucial para a sustentabilidade a longo prazo. E impõe desafios socioeconômicos significativos não só ao setor carbonífero como também aos demais setores econômicos, à academia e ao poder público em busca da diversificação da matriz econômica da região Sul. No entanto, com uma abordagem estratégica e inovadora, os setores podem encontrar novas oportunidades de crescimento e contribuição para um futuro energético mais sustentável a partir da colaboração entre o governo, empresas e comunidades”, defendeu o presidente da associação empresarial de Criciúma, Valcir José Zanete.
Também estiveram na cerimônia, o secretário de Estado da Fazenda, Cleverson Siewert; o prefeito de Criciúma, Clésio Salvaro; o delegado-geral da Polícia Civil, Ulisses Gabriel; secretário adjunto do Meio Ambiente e Economia Verde, Guilherme Dallacosta, os deputados estaduais, Estener Soratto, Julio Garcia e Thiago Zilli, além da presidente da Acafe e reitora da UNESC, Luciane Ceretta.
