O candidato a prefeito de Jaguaruna pelo Progressistas, Alexandre Martins, confirmou que terá que desistir de sua candidatura.
A decisão é motivada por problemas de saúde. O atual presidente da Câmara de Vereadores passou por um procedimento cirúrgico nos últimos dias e sofreu complicações. “Tive uma hemorragia e o médico sugeriu repouso absoluto. Vou cuidar da saúde”, afirmou Alexandre.
Sua candidatura já está registrada na Justiça Eleitoral junto com o candidato a vice-prefeito, o ex-prefeito Luiz Arnado Napoli. O Progressistas disputa o pleito em chapa pura em Jaguaruna.
De acordo com o presidente da sigla, o empresário Arilton Garcia, até o momento não há um posicionamento oficial. A Executiva do Progressistas deve se reunir para definir a continuidade da campanha. “Não temos um posicionamento oficial e nem outro nome. Provavelmente não teremos mais candidato a prefeito, mas ainda vamos conversar”, comenta.
A sigla continua na disputa apenas com a nominata de candidatos a vereadores. No último sábado, dia 17, Alexandre Martins participou do primeiro debate com os outros quatro candidatos a prefeito e em seguida teve problemas de saúde.
Ainda nesta terça, dia 20, Alexandre compartilhou um vídeo em suas redes sociais ao lado do ex-prefeito Luiz Napoli anunciando sua desistência da candidatura.
