O vice-presidente e ministro do Desenvolvimento, Indústria, Comércio e Serviços, Geraldo Alckmin, voltou a dizer, nesta sexta-feira (21), que considera alto o patamar atual da Selic, classificando os juros em 10,5% ao ano como “exagerados”. “Com inflação de pouco mais de 3,5%, estamos falando de 7% de juros real, é muito”, afirmou Alckmin. Ele reiterou sua avaliação de que a tendência é de queda da Selic, hoje muito impactada pelas taxas americanas e pela questão fiscal no Brasil. De acordo com Alckmin, ficará “claro nos próximos meses” o compromisso do governo federal com o “rigor” de natureza fiscal. Na quinta-feira (20), após o Comitê de Política Monetária (Copom) do Banco Central manter, na quarta-feira (19), por decisão unânime, a Selic em 10,5% ao ano, Alckmin já havia feito essa análise. Ele foi questionado novamente sobre o assunto durante visita à fábrica da Scania em São Bernardo do Campo, no ABC paulista.
